We can consider official. Information published on Monday indicates that the name of the“M” version of Android will be “Marshmallow”. The confirmation came from a photo of Android mascot statue, which carries a marshmallow on the back.

As Google yesterday announced the official name of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and along with it the final version of the OS SDK. And if you’re excited to download the OS, we have prepared a tutorial so you that can try it on your smartphone or tablet.
But beware: the Marshmallow for now is only available in some devices of Google. They are: Nexus 5, 6 Nexus, Nexus and Nexus Player 9 . If you are the owner of any of these devices, know how to get the new system.

To update your device with Android 6.0
1. Download the image corresponding to your phone via this link
2. Connect your smartphone to your PC using a USB cable
3. Make sure the Fastboot is configured and installed on your computer
4. Turn off your device
5. Enter Fastboot mode by pressing the volume keys down and the power button simultaneously for a few seconds
6. Extract the file anywhere on your PC. Go to the folder you created and copy all the files, placing them in the Fastboot directory.
7. Run the flash-file all.bat
8. Wait for the file to be installed on your smartphone
9. Afterwards, your smartphone will restart for about five minutes. Be patient.
And ready! If all went well until now, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is installed on your device.
Root to your device with Android 6.0
1. Download and install the Android Studio on your computer
2. Enable USB debugging on your Android device
3. Download the Fastboot and extract in the Windows directory android-sdk-windows platform-tools
4. Download the Kernel Despair and SuperSU on your computer
5. Connect your phone to the PC via a USB cable
6. Copy the Despair Kernel and SuperSU to the SD card. Make sure the files are in this directory
7. Turn off the power
8. Download the ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) or TWRP and save them within the android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools folder on your computer. Select the correct version for your device.
9. Now go to the Fastboot mode / Bootloader by pressing the volume down and power button simultaneously for a few seconds until a message appears on the screen
10. On your PC, navigate to the folder Android-sdk-windows platform-tools and open the Command Prompt.
11. Enter the following text:
fastboot flash recovery (CWM name of the file)
WARNING: replace the contents in parenthesis above the exact name of the CWM or TWRP file you downloaded. In this tutorial, we use the CWM.
12. Then choose RECOVERY in Fastboot menu and enter the Recovery mode
13. ClockworkMod recovery, go to the “flashzip from SD card” and press the power button to confirmer
14. Press the power button again and select “choose zip from sdcard”
15. Use the volume controls to scroll to the Despair and select it with the power button. Confirm the installation and follow the procedures for installing
16. Repeat step 15 with SuperSU
17. After installation, return to the home screen and restart the phone by “reboot system now” option. The unit will restart for about five minutes the first time it is run with the new OS.
